what's making me happy at this exact moment.

sometimes life can get a little drab when you're sitting in a cubicle all day. that's what pictures like these are for. this is a little selection of images that are bringing some color and inspiration back into my day today. thank God for the internet and color printers.

i wanna throw a party.

love love love the colors.
glam pinatas!
honestly, i dont even need a party.
i want this as my headboard for my bed.
gorgeous use of color.
sometimes you find something that just makes you want to get up and do something. today, this did just the trick. these were so inspiring to me, that now i want to throw a party just so that i can make some garlands just like these from Confetti System. they throw a modern twist on a classic party decoration, with their use of color, composition, and texture. kills me. so good. guess a new years party on dicken's street is just the thing so that i can try these bad boys out.

art: {tobias+nicole+watercolors=this guy}

just wanted to share a little piece made collaboratively by Tobias + I. It was such a fun night. We sat on my couch and passed the paper back and forth...and this is what came out. I kinda love that he's not finished yet. I have a lot to learn about watercolor, but it was fun trying! Hope you enjoy.

sweet sweet victory

we won! we won! Lauren, my sister and best friend for life, entered our DIY chandeliers into a contest on Ruffled blog. And suprisingly, we won! Crazy. Never really won much before, so this was a pleasant suprise. My mom, the talented and artisitc woman that she is did such an amazing job designing the whole thing! The chandelier is made of recycled materials- found glass, plastic, and other things. We also used a stencil to spray paint the lanterns and give them a paisley look. It was so much fun to work on! Loved it.

trendz: {color blocking}

This is a trend that lately I am digging. Color blocking. I love the simplicity of it... it's stunning, and honestly- it's just downright fun. I love seeing men try the trend too. Gotta love the stylish guys. I myself plan on attempting this soon and will let you all know how it goes. Happy colorblocking!

food: {Searsucker}

I cannot wait to try this restaraunt! Searsucker is located in Downtown San Diego, and is the new project of celebrity chef Brian Malarkey. The jaw dropping decor is equally matched with the menu's delicious dishes. Simple, great food is what's for dinner. With fresh fish caught in the San Diego harbor, succulent steaks, and locally brewed lagers, you won't be disappointed. What a fantastic spot for a night out with the girls, or an intimate date with your man. Mmmm can't wait!

fashion {Prophetik}

So I've recently started working for Jeff Garner, designer of the sustainable fashion line Prophetik. I am so excited to be working for a line that is not only beautiful, but ethically responsible. Jeff has a passion for creating garments that bring men and women back to romance in a time where everything has been sexualized. He is paving the way for ethical fashion; called by God to introduce the fashion world to a whole new way of thinking and creating. All of his dyes and fabrics are organic, created from plant and earth based dyes, all created by Jeff in his local town of Franklin, Tennessee.

I will be sharing more about this journey, but for now, check out this mini-documentary about Jeff and his mission at Lani Inc.. I hope you'll be inspired by his artistic talent and passion for being a good steward of the environment.

the brothers burrier.

Speaking of my teammates for tomorrow night, I just wanted to give you some examples of some of their work. Their logo was made from foam they hot wired and painted...and the bee was made of Popsicle sticks and tape! Crazy.

They are so talented and their creativity always inspires me. Tobias and Beau Burrier are unreal. Jacks of all trades, they work in so many different areas: graphic design, fine art, urban farming, architecture, construction, t-shirt design...ect. Check out some of their stuff at YUNG
